At JAMES SMITH DRIVING SCHOOL, we're committed to providing excellent services to our students,

BE ADVISED everyone in the state of Missouri must TAKE THE DRIVERS TEST IN PERSON

If students take 8 hours or more and shows the ability to control the car in a consistently safe manner and understands the basic principles of driving, the last 2 hours of the contract will be used for testing.

If the student does not seem ready to test the last 2 hours will be used for training.( Going to take the test is not guaranteed)" Going to the testing facility will only be guaranteed provided the above actions are consistently carried out."

Travel Fee

A one-time Travel Area Surcharge of $65.00 will be applied to any contract involving locations North of Parvin Road or West of State Line Road. This fee is assessed once per agreement ( contract )to cover logistical and transit requirements."

Cancellation & Refund Policy
James Smith Driving School LLC
At James Smith Driving School LLC, we understand that unexpected changes in your schedule can occur. However, because our instructors’ time is reserved specifically for each student, we have established the following policy regarding cancellations and refunds.
1. Cancellation Fee
All cancellations or refund requests are subject to a $65.00 cancellation fee and $200.00 Administrative fee. This fee covers administrative costs and the loss of the scheduled time slot.
2. Refund Calculation
If you choose to cancel your services, your refund will be calculated based on the following:
* The subtotal amount paid for the service.
* Minus the $65.00 cancellation fee.Applicable Taxes, Service and Processing fee,Petrol reimbursement,and a $200.00 Administrative fee.
* Minus any applicable taxes paid at the time of purchase.
* Minus all original service and processing fees (credit card processing fees, etc.).
3. Notice Requirements
To avoid additional penalties $25, we request that students provide at least [ 48 ] hour notice prior to their scheduled lesson. Cancellations made with less than the required notice may be subject to a "Late Cancellation" fee or forfeiture of the full lesson cost. ($25.00)
4. Processing Time
Once a refund is approved, it will be processed back to the original form of payment. Please allow [10] business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.
> Note: By booking a lesson or purchasing a package with James Smith Driving School LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
No-Call, No-Show Fee: Failure to show up without any notification will result in a charge of 100% of the scheduled service value or Deposit Forfeiture: For any-value blocks of time, any pre-paid deposits will be non-refundable in the event of a no-show.

All of our driving instructors at JAMES SMITH DRIVING SCHOOL driving school are licensed and certified. They have undergone rigorous training and have years of experience in teaching students how to drive safely and confidently.

What are the requirements to pass the driving test?

To pass the driving test, you need to demonstrate that you have a good understanding of the rules of the road, can operate the vehicle safely and confidently, and can make good driving decisions. Our instructors will provide you with the necessary training and guidance to help you pass the driving test. if student takes 8 hours or more and shows the ability to control the vehicle in a consistently safe manner , the last two hours of the contract will be reserved for the test.

Does this company give out the actual license?

No , everyone in the state of Missouri must go to the DMV to take the actual driving test.

We do not take students to test in Kansas.We can teach you how to drive if your a Kansas resident ,but we do not take you to test.

How many hours should I take?

Everyone learns at a different pace , most new drivers take at least 6 hours.It may take more,so we recommend as many as you can afford . Remember the more practice time behind the wheel the better driver you will become. The state of Missouri recommends at least 40 hours of drive time for the new driver.

How soon can I start?

We schedule first come first served.We do not schedule students more than 33 days in advanced.
